Income generating program  

RGDP aim to deliver quality services in vocational training and primary education but ensure surplus income to support other programs is generated. These areas includes: vocational training courses targeting, Computer College, salon /Beauty College, metal production and training unit and other viable courses to be introduced during the years. In addition to vocational courses, Bishop Kitonga Academy offers quality primary school education.

Strategic goal

 To effectively manage viable income generating projects and maximise their potential to facilitate RGDP realise its vision and mission while providing high quality services to the community.

Key Strategies 

 The following are key strategies to ensure services provided are competitive:

A)  Bishop Kitonga Academy   

• To facilitate  full registration of the school by the Ministry of education by April 2008  and ensure compliance i.e For example creating a playing field and fencing off the school

• Continuously improve the learning environment

• Expand the school  by constructing additional facilities

• Improve performance by instituting a PMS for teachers

• Provide competitive salaries to the teachers and ensure there is equity by designing an objective salary structure

• Motivate teachers by rewarding excellent performers and organising annual retreats

•  Provide school transport from some areas by initially collaborating with transport companies before the school mobilises funds to procure a school bus.

• Packaging , branding and marketing the school to ensure it operates at full capacity

• Establish a computer library to enhance IT capacity of the pupils and teachers

B)  Computer college  

• Collaboration with Kenyatta  University and other reputable colleges in offering It program as this  will boost the college since such certificates are recognised by employers

• Introduce new course that are viable 

• College will be expanded by procuring an additional 20 computers

• Packaging , branding and marketing of the college will be undertaken to ensure it operates at full student capacity

• Management of the college will be improved to ensure quality service is delivered to the students 

C)  Beauty /salon college  

• The operations of the college will start in Jan 2008

• The college will be packaged , branded and marketing materials developed

• Registration will be done with  City and Guilds as an examination centre to offer this course

• Professional and qualified staff  will be recruited to manage the college
