The following are key strategies:

OUTPUT Improved access to social justice and protection of children by the society and particularly in the operational areas

Activities /strategies

C.     Children Rehabilitation project

The project has been recruiting street children who undergo rehabilitation for one year and thereafter they are sponsored for education at various levels. This project will be up scaled to reach out to more children in need of rehabilitation services. It will therefore not only deal with street children but other children in the slums and surrounding areas who require rehabilitation services before being supported to access education and training . The following are key strategies

OUTPUT Rehabilitation of children with anti-social behaviour leading to increased access to quality education and skills training

Activities /strategies

Undertake a rapid assessment to identify the government progress and strategies for rehabilitating the street children to inform the project’s  strategies

Identify and recruit children who require rehabilitation services

Identify talents with the children and nurture them.

Graduate the children rehabilitated to schools and skills training

Improve the living conditions of some children by providing them with basic needs

Economically empower parents/caregivers by supporting them to start income generating activities so as to improve the living conditions of the children

Improve the quality of counselling services by retraining the counsellors

Formalise networks with other organisations and link the children and youth for further support such as MYSA for sports development
